Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Shadow! I’m a calm, but vocal girl who loves to run around like a maniac all morning, and then I’m ready for a long nap. I love all my toys, but my favorites are the one with feathers on them. I’m happy to eat wet food and dry food. I’m litter box trained and I get along well with my foster mom’s small dogs. I’m going a bit stir crazy being couped up in a couple rooms here and I’m ready to have full reign of my furever home.

If you would like more information or to adopt, visit our pets in person at either shelter location in Camarillo and Simi Valley. We are not able to take requests to hold or reserve an animal.
Adoption Fees:

More about this shelter

Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) operates two shelters within the county. The large main shelter in Camarillo houses over 400 pets and the administrative offices. Our smaller facility in Simi Valley houses nearly 40 pets at a time.

Each year, Ventura County Animal Services cares for more than 10,000 animals. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and find life-long homes for as many animals as possible, while providing proper care during their stay.
