Sabertooth is an adorable 6-week old male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on July 30, 2024 along with his mother (Jean Grey) and his four siblings (Mystique, Rogue, Xavier, and Wolverine). Their sweet mother kitty was raising her babies in a family's garage after she befriended a Good Samaritan who allowed them to remain there after she gave birth. Thank goodness Jean Grey was in a safe place and not outdoors.
Sabertooth has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a cute
kitten face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.
Sabertooth was given Pyrantel wormer on July 31, 2024. He was given vaccinations on October 20, 2024.
Since Sabertooth and his siblings were fully weaned, they were separated from their mother in late September 2024 and momma Jean Grey was moved to The Jungle Room (our main cat room where adoptable cats are housed).
These 'big boy' photos of Sabertooth were taken on October 14, 2024 when he and his siblings enjoyed some out-of-cage time in our 'studio'. Sabertooth was fascinated by the fake fall foliage and loved playing in the autumn leaves while he posed for pictures.
Sabertooth was neutered on October 22, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 4.7 lbs that day.
Much to their delight, Sabertooth and his siblings are currently sharing a large cat tower in our lobby and are also ready to find homes of their very own. Naturally we'd love to see them adopted in pairs.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
Sadly, their smallest little brother (Wolverine) did not survive and passed away on September 3, 2024.
