My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rogue is a cute 6-week old female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on July 30, 2024 along with her mother (Jean Grey) and her four siblings (Mystique, Sabertooth, Xavier, and Wolverine). Their sweet mother kitty was raising her babies in a family's garage after she befriended a Good Samaritan who allowed them to remain there after she gave birth. Thank goodness Jean Grey was in a safe place and not outdoors.

Rogue has a gray-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable kitten face with golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers.

Rogue was given Pyrantel wormer on July 31, 2024. She was given vaccinations on October 20, 2024.

Since Rogue and her siblings were fully weaned, they were separated from their mother in late September 2024 and momma Jean Grey was moved to The Jungle Room (our main cat room where adoptable cats are housed).

These 'big girl' photos of Rogue were taken on October 14, 2024 when she and her siblings enjoyed some out-of-cage time in our 'studio'. Rogue was fascinated with so many toys to choose from, but her very favorite was a plush stuffed 'lambchop'. Rogue kept pawing at him/her to encourage some playtime (smile).

Rogue was spayed on October 22, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 3.5 lbs that day.

Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.

Much to their delight, Rogue and her siblings are currently sharing a large cat tower in our lobby and are also ready to find homes of their very own. Naturally we'd love to see them adopted in pairs.

Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.

Sadly, their smallest little brother (Wolverine) did not survive and passed away on September 3, 2024.
