My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jean Grey is a beautiful 3-year old female kitty who was brought to the HSOV on July 30, 2024 along with her five 6-week old kittens (Mystique, Rogue, Sabertooth, Xavier, and Wolverine). This sweet mother kitty was raising her babies in a family's garage after she befriended a Good Samaritan who allowed them to remain there after she gave birth. Thank goodness Jean Grey was in a safe place and not outdoors.

Jean Grey has a gray short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a gray velvet nose, and long gray whiskers.

This little lady has the sweetest personality and loves attention.

Jean Grey was given vaccinations on July 31, 2024. She was given booster vaccines and Pyrantel wormer on August 14, 2024.

Since her kittens were fully weaned, they were separated from their mother in late September 2024 and Jean was moved to The Jungle Room (our main cat room where adoptable cats are housed). Jean quickly became a social butterfly and was always at the front of her cage ready for some loving attention.

These photos of Jean Grey were taken on October 19, 2024 when she waltzed around our 'studio' for her glamour pictures. This little beauty queen was a pleasure to photograph.

Jean Grey was spayed on October 22, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 7 lbs that day.

This sweet empty-nester is ready to find her dream home either through adoption or rescue.

Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.

Note: Jean's kittens (Mystique, Rogue, Sabertooth and Xavier) were also spayed/neutered on October 22, 2024. Much to their delight, the kittens are currently sharing a large cat tower in our lobby and are also ready to find homes of their very own. Naturally we'd love to see them adopted in pairs.

Sadly, Jean Grey's smallest kitten (Wolverine) did not survive and passed away on September 3, 2024.
