My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Bugs Moran 🐾

👑 The Old Soul
Bugs Moran is the oldest of the 13 dogs we rescued from a hoarding situation, and this distinguished senior is around 10+ years old. Despite being blind, his spirit hasn’t dimmed a bit, and he’s overflowing with love for people! ❤️🐶

Findings from his foster home include-he does get along with other dogs but prefers them to not try and play with him. He's older and he's blind so he gets nervous when dogs try to play with him. They do feed him separately, so he never feels he is in competition for his food anymore. Bugs Moran barks when he knows you are close, but he can't find you out of excitement and probably a little frustration that he can't find you. He does sleep quietly every night and spends most of his day snuggled up on a dog bed or playing with dog toys. He loves greenie chews. Due to his barking, and it's loud, we do not recommend him for any kind of home living where you share walls with other tenants.

🚶 Leash-Trained Explorer
Bugs is one-of-a-kind—he’s the only dog from his group who is leash-trained, and he loves his walks. He gets around just fine, though he may bump into things now and then. 🌳🐾

🐩 Possible Pomeranian-Poodle Mix
With his ginger coat and silvered face, Bugs might be a charming Pomeranian and Poodle mix. He’s a little fluffball at 21 lbs, quiet until he hears you nearby—then, his excitement bubbles up, and he can’t help but let out a bark or two! 🧡🎉

🚽 House Training Needs
Being that Bugs Moran has not been neutered yet, so he still wants to mark in the home. Thankfully belly bands are an easy solution as he waits for his neuter appointment. As he has scent has naturally been added to his foster home from living there his marking is getting less and less. 🏠💧 He is house trained though, he never potties in the home ever. Marking is a separate issue from peeing in the house.

👨‍👩‍👧 Best Fit
Bugs Moran would thrive in a quiet, loving home with children 12+ and calm, gentle dogs. Since he was previously kept separate from the other dogs, he’s not a fan of young pups who bark or jump, as he can’t see them coming. 🐾🚫

🌅 Retirement Dream
Bugs Moran is more than ready for his well-deserved retirement home, where he’ll finally get the love and peace he deserves. Let’s help this resilient senior find his perfect family! 🛋️💙 Bugs Moran may be an older gentleman but he's still pretty active and can easily trip a person up and wrap around them with his leash.

Bugs Moran's adoption fee is $150, he is vaccinated, flea & tick treated, microchipped, tested negative for heartworm and Lyme and will be neutered on Friday, Nov. 8th. You can apply online for him at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sr2794&method=online_form_html&formid=21

BUGS MORAN IS IN A FOSTER HOME SO AN APPOINTMENT WILL NEED TO BE MADE TO MEET HIM.
