Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Hedy Lamarr! 🐾
Hedy is one of the brave 13 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in a neighboring county. These tough little survivors spent their days outside, waiting for food and water to arrive, sharing a small pen with 11 other dogs. 🌧️ For that reason, we named them after famous tough guys and gals!
Despite her past, Hedy Lamarr is a sweet girl with a shy demeanor around new people. She’s eager to connect and needs a patient home that will give her the space and time to understand she’s safe and loved. 💖
Hedy will need help with leash training, housebreaking, and socializing with new people. 🦴 After living with so many dogs, she’s likely to get along well with most pups, but she might be a little fearful of larger dogs at first. Cats and kids? We recommend a week-long foster-to-adopt trial to ensure it’s a good fit. Since Hedy hasn’t lived with children before, we suggest homes with kids aged 5 and up, and it’s important for any kids in the home to meet her before adoption.
Give Hedy Lamarr the loving home she deserves and watch her blossom! 🏡✨
Hedy Lamarr is estimated to be around 7 years old. She is said to be a mix of Poodle and Jack Russel Terrier. Hedy Lamarr weighs just 15 lbs and is full grown. Hedy Lamarr is vaccinated, flea & tick treated, negative for heartworm and Lyme, microchipped and will be spayed on Friday, November 8. Hedy Lanarr's adoption fee is $250.
You can apply online for her at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sr2794&method=online_form_html&formid=21
Please put in an application for her on our website at www.highlandhumanesociety.org. Once processed we will set up a time for you to meet her and you can place the dog on hold if you want to adopt or take her home for foster to adopt.
SHE CANNOT LEAVE THE SHELTER UNTIL SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH AFTER SHE HAS BEEN SPAYED.
