Come meet this goofy goober; Rocko!
Rocko arrived at FVHA as an owner surrender.

This silly guy is sure to keep you laughing! Rocko is a happy-go-lucky boy who loves everyone he meets. He has a heart of gold but doesn't quite know how to be gentle, he's just so excited to meet people! He is reportedly crate trained, knows how to sit, and walks well on leash. He loves playing with toys but prefers tough toys that won't fall apart.

Rocko hasn't met other dogs at the shelter yet so we aren't sure how he would do but our adoption counselors would recommend doing a dog meet with any potential new housemates! He has never been around cats but has lived with kids and would be better suited to older children who can handle his exuberant play style!

Rocko is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, has had flea & tick preventative, and is microchipped.

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

If you are interested in adopting and meeting one of our adoptable animals one-on-one, we will have you fill out our adoption questionnaire.

2.
Meet the Pet

After completing the adoption questionnaire, you will be paired with one of our Adoption Counselors to help you find the right match.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a match is made, we will finalize the adoption paperwork and have you sign an adoption contract.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once the contract is signed you may take your new pet home, typically same day!

The Fox Valley Humane Association believes in caring for pets and their people. We have an open adoption process, and our goal is to get to know potential adopters on a personal level and best match them with a new companion. We encourage you to stop by during our open hours to meet our adoptable animals.

The Fox Valley Humane Association is open to the public during the following hours. You do not need an appointment to view our adoptable animals, we welcome visitors anytime during our viewing hours. In order to best serve you, please plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to closing to meet with an Adoption Counselor and ensure adequate time to visit with our adoptable animals.
