Hello, I am Donatello! I am a staffy mix born 3/31/24 and weigh 42 lbs. I really AM perfect! Well, maybe other than my name which is a mouthful - my fosters have called me "Tello" for short and I respond to that with more tail wags than you'd believe. Actually, my tail seldom stops wagging which is just one of my many great qualities! I'm about the happiest guy you'll ever meet and I am sooo well behaved: don't bark in the house or seldom in the yard; take treats so gently you'll never worry about being bitten; take even 3-hour car rides beautifully, just curl up and sleep. I'm totally food motivated which makes my learning new skills so easy. (That's not to say I'm in need of any as I know my basic commands - sit, down, hand signal for stay, kennel up! - and will always let you know if I need to go outside to go potty by either whining or just going to the door and sitting.) I sleep in my crate at night because that's what I've done before but my new foster doesn't believe that's really necessary as I've never done anything I shouldn't in the house. Heck, I'm so well behaved I don't even beg at the table when people are eating and have never countersurfed! In the house I'm mostly chill, lying beside my foster dog brother or in one of the large dog beds while happily working on a chew toy. I live with several cats and am curious about but never chase them - but am scared of the bossy ones! Everywhere my foster has taken me I've been just great meeting people and other dogs. Yep, I'm a total perfect package! When I came into rescue I was listed as an AmStaf mix. Any picture my foster takes of me Google captions with Catahoula Leopard dog. If you look at my beautiful distinctive coat, that and my body build plus the good things about that breed sure do describe me. But hey, a breed name doesn't matter, all that matters is what a loving great guy I am!
