Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Crunch is a cute 5-month old male American Pit Bull Terrier mix puppy who was brought to the HSOV on October 29, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Florence Street in Belpre Ohio. Crunch was accompanied by Nestle' (who is surely his brother). Neither of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.
Crunch and Nestle' are nearly identical twins except for the markings on their faces.
Crunch has a black-and-white short smooth coat, white socks on his paws, a long tail, and a beautiful symmetrically-marked face with a wide white stripe on his forehead and a white muzzle.
Crunch and Nestle' were full of playful puppy energy, and they had a lot to talk about during their photo sessions. Perhaps they were trying to tell us where they lived and what their 'parents' names were..
Thanks to HSOV Executive Director Amy Rogers and HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn for accompanying Nestle' and Crunch for outdoor pictures around noon on October 30th. These little guys were very happy (and very active), and there was "no way" they would consent to posing for boring still-life photos.
Crunch and Nestle' don't take life too seriously and are all about fun-and-games. They are very bonded with each other and have been kept together in our shelter.
Crunch weighs 37 lbs. He didn't seem to be familiar with the concept of 'walking on a leash' but made a noble effort for Tracy while he posed for pictures.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Crunch and Nestle' will be held for three days so that their family will have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership.
