Bilton has been through more than his share of ups and downs. Originally found as a stray, he was taken to a local shelter and adopted, only to be returned when his adopters noticed blood in his urine. Rather than getting him the medical care he needed, they chose to take him back to the shelter. Fortunately, the shelter reached out to us, and now that Bilton is with us, he’s finally able to relax and feel safe.
One thing about Bilton: he always seems to be smiling! Despite the instability he's faced, he remains friendly, loving, and incredibly trusting. Bilton may have some kidney issues, which we’re in the process of diagnosing and treating, and we’re hopeful it’s something manageable with the right care. We’ll know more soon, so if you’re interested, please reach out for updates.
Bilton is a true joy—he gets along well with other dogs, loves people, and brings so much light wherever he goes. He loves doing zoomies in the yard, and when he’s all tuckered out, he flops over for his favorite thing: belly rubs! Bilton is as special as they come, and we can’t wait to find him the loving home he truly deserves. Could that be with you? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
