My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bear, a 100-pound bundle of love and loyalty. Found as a pup on a mountain road, he was emaciated and in need of a home. Bear is a unique mix of German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees, showing both breeds' traits in his looks and personality. Bear is now 10 months old and has been spent most of that time being raised in the mountains of San Bernardino, where he’s developed a curious, adventurous, and water-loving nature. He’s friendly with kids, great with other dogs, and mostly fearless (yes, he’s tried chasing bears!).

Bear is loyal and smart but needs guidance and structure. My father is getting older and is finding that Bear’s needs exceed what he can provide. Bear is starting to chew things out of boredom and needs someone who has the time to train him not to jump on people and give him the engagement he desperately craves. We’re looking for a home that can offer him the training and love he deserves. For the right person (or family!) Bear will be the perfect, devoted companion.
