My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Janet, a senior canine with a heart full of love and a spirit that`s still young. She`s a bit of a goofball, often surprising us with her antics that make us chuckle. Independent yet affectionate, Janet loves her alone time but won`t say no to a good cuddle session. She`s mellow, preferring a leisurely stroll over a vigorous run, and she enjoys quiet evenings just as much as an afternoon of play. Janet has a unique personality that`s both endearing and charming. Adopting Janet means welcoming a loyal friend who will fill your life with joy, laughter, and unconditional love. Her age may classify her as a senior, but her spirit is timeless. Make Janet a part of your family, and let her show you that age is just a number when it comes to love and companionship.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
