My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miss Bean, the sweet and spirited hound mama who's ready to steal your heart! Miss Bean is a big fan of the great outdoors and loves nothing more than a nice, long walk to stretch her legs and sniff out the world's best scents. And when it's playtime, she's all about a good game of fetch-her tail wags prove just how much fun she's having!

Miss Bean is not only playful but also a smart cookie. She knows her basic commands and is always eager to show off her skills, especially if there are treats involved! This clever girl also enjoys car rides, making her the perfect co-pilot for all your adventures.

If you're looking for a dog who's equal parts loving, playful, and well-mannered, Miss Bean is the one for you. Come meet this sweet girl in person at the shelter or fill out an adoption application on our website. Miss Bean can't wait to join your family and share all her love and happiness!

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
