Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Beautiful Abbey Road is the definition of a perfect low-maintenance companion! Only two years old, Abbey is a perfect guest in her foster home. Polite and incredibly well-behaved, she will never jump on your counters or knock things over. With a calm, quiet presence, Abbey will break her silence to ask for things she loves most – food and your attention! While not a fan of being picked up or sitting in laps, she will still make her love for you known in many other ways! Abbey’s affection often takes the form of licking, and is happy to groom your hand or her favourite cushion - and she even prefers to lick her meals (soupy pate is her favourite!). Abbey’s motto seems to be, “If I love it, I lick it.” Speaking of Abbey’s favourite things, Churu and other tube treats are the key to this girl’s heart! If a tube treat is on offer, this sweetie will reach out with her paw to pull it toward her—or grab you, as if to say, “Please hand it over!” She also loves catnip, though rather than roll in it, Abbey will - you guessed it - lick it 'til there is nothing left! Abbey feels safest tucked away in enclosed or high-up spaces, so cozy hideouts are a big hit with this beautiful dilute tortie! Once she settles in, you will often find her lounging in her signature one-arm loaf pose—relaxed, with a single paw elegantly stretched out. Abbey will fill your home with quiet love, charm, and the kind of companionship that comes with earned trust. Abbey may take a little more time to come out of her shell, but once she does, you will be rewarded with the most endearing, loving and incredibly sweet companion! With time and patience, Abbey’s loveable and affectionate personality begins to shine in the most endearing ways. Abbey is okay with being the only pet in her home. We are unsure how she is with other cats, dogs or children.
Abbey was rescued from living under a BBQ with her kittens. Despite her young age, Abbey may have had multiple litters already. This special girl has been through a lot, and now it’s her turn to finally experience the love and comfort she deserves in her forever home.
Abbey is a gentle, sweet and well-behaved kitty looking for a home where she can finally feel safe and adored. With time, Abbey will show you her gentle, quirky spirit, and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her. If you’re ready to open your heart to a sweet, shy cat with a heart of gold, Abbey is waiting for you.

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.
We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.
We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
