My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Coffee Bean, an adorable 3-month-old, 7-pound Dutch Shepherd mix with a stunning brindle coat. Coffee is all puppy—full of energy, curiosity, and playfulness. He loves to pull on toys, chew on anything he can find, and play hard before curling up for a nap on his foster dad’s lap. He’s doing well with potty training, going outside when taken out.

Coffee is starting leash training and showing a bit of that stubborn puppy spirit, but he’s making progress. He enjoys daily walks with his foster family’s dog. He is okay with the cat, though he wishes the cat would play! Coffee is learning that fingers aren’t chew toys, and he’s getting better with redirection. He’s great with people and other dogs, and he’s even learned that “aaa” means stop. While he loves chasing balls, he’s still working on bringing them back.

Coffee Bean is an adorable, energetic pup who’s eager to find a forever home that will continue to guide him as he grows. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, playful companion, Coffee could be the perfect fit! Apply at bcaaofnj.org

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.
