My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Candy Apple ! I might be a bit shy, but I promise, I have a heart full of love ready to share. I'm just a little puppy, so I'm still learning about the world around me. My life in the shelter is safe, but I know there's so much more out there. I'm eager to learn and grow with someone who can guide me. I'm not just looking for a home, I'm looking for a friend, a companion, someone who will be there for me as much as I will be there for them. Adopt me and let's start this beautiful journey together.

More about this shelter

The mission of the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center is to provide and promote the humane treatment of animals on the island of St. Croix through humane education, animal protection and community service. Founded in 1973, the AWC is the only animal shelter on St. Croix. The AWC takes in and cares for more than 3,000 unwanted, abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats each year. Our longtime facility was destroyed in Hurricane Maria in 2017; we are now located in two temporary locations in the LaGrande Princesse area of St .Croix.
