Hello there, I'm Emma! Life here in the shelter is full of interesting smells and kind people, but I dream of having a home of my own. I'm a young lady with a heart full of love to give. I can be a bit goofy at times, often finding amusement in the simplest things, like string toys. But that's just part of my charm! I'm also very sweet and cuddly. More about this shelter

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
