727-631-8483 ADOPT FRANKIE! A cuddly cat who needs a great home.

This adoption is NOT through Furry Nation Salvation and is a Courtesy Post. Please call the individual listed below with any further questions or to set up a time to meet the pet. Thank you. Please call/text this number if interested: 727-631-8483

Cat located in this city: Saint Petersburg/Tampa
Cat’s Name: Frank
Cat’s Age & Sex: 2yr/Male
Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): Neutered and Vaxx updated

Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome):

Rehoming is not in any fault of Frank, however, due to major life changing circumstances and becoming a soon to be single mom, also working as a night shift nurse, can be challenging. I want Frank to have the attention and best life he can have. I rescued him when he was only a few weeks old, when he showed up to my apartment in the middle of the night.

Personality (shy, social, likes
to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Frank's unique personality will capture your heart. At first he will be a little shy, but in no time he personality shines. His likes are: play time with his toys, playing hide and seek with you, cuddle time, and window perching, or spending time in a screened-in patio area. He does well with other cats, and small dog. He probably will benefit with having a companion.

His dislikes: Loud noises

Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys): Both wet and dry food, new pet carrier (mesh carrying bag), toys, scratch pose, litter box and litter.

What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): Both wet and dry. But just learned how important wet food is! Limited the dry and giving more wet is very important (more below)

:::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too!  Limit the overly processed dry foodand ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we recommend double this).

IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT:
1) Please show up with a cat carrier: I have one if needed.
2) Small adoption fee of: 45.00
3) I will call/text one month from adoption day just to make sure everything is going well.
4) Please show up with your Driver's License.
5) Information sheet will be filled out (your information as well as mine)
*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.

More about this rescue

Furry Nation Salvation, Inc. is a foster based all-volunteer non-profit animal rescue organization located in Florida. We commit our resources throughout Volusia County and surrounding areas in finding permanent homes for abandoned, unwanted, and neglected animals. Run by dedicated volunteers, our work is a heartfelt collaboration in making a difference for the innocent animals without a voice. Our foster volunteers “one on one” care help us to determine the animals true personality to best fit them into their forever home. We also promote, practice, and work, in the area of TNR (trap, neuter, return). This method of population reduction and control for feral cats has proven to be successful and we are committed to this method. FNS strives to educate the public on the importance of spay and neutering their pets and provide locations where they are able to do so at a discounted price. We assist in transporting animals to and from veterinary clinics, and help individuals place their unwanted pet who would otherwise be dumped at an animal shelter with an uncertain future. We do so by utilizing social media and animal adoption sites and always making ourselves available with support and advice. We love what we do and together we make a difference for so many. Furry Nation Salvation does not have a facility and rely on foster homes for our rescued animals. Our current goal is to establish a dedicated rescue facility to be able to help even more animals in need.
