My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogs

Say…. CHEESE!

Cheese is 7 months old TODAY! She’s a mini-blue Merle labradoodle according to the breeder paperwork. Where “Merle” comes into play from either a lab or a poodle is beyond us, but ok…

Regardless of what her mutt makeup is, CHEESE is as cute as they come! We are thrilled both she and her brother Mac were saved from the life their parents lived - bred again and again making profit-puppies for greed. Instead, both Mac & Cheese will live their lives as beloved pets exclusively! While their first few months weren’t ideal, they’ve been in our care about a month now and things are already looking way, way up!

Cheese has settled in nicely at her foster home. She’s learning how to potty outside exclusively, she’s learned from her foster brother Harley how to romp and play and cut-up. She’s learned from her foster parents that couch time is the best time and pets… forget about it. Lovin’ is her favorite thing!!

Cheese started out shy but hopeful. She wanted very much from day one to see what us people were all about… she just wasn’t sure what to make of everything after being ignored for the most part by the breeder who raised her. She’s quickly learned that nice people do exist! She’s also learned that the life of a puppy consists of lovin’, eatin’, playin’, pottyin’, on repeat! Not too shabby, eh, Cheese?!

If you’re interested in meeting Cheese, if you’d like to be the forever family who continues to show her what life as a cherished member of a family entails, please apply @ maxxandme.org

Cheese is friendly with everyone and everything (no cat or small animal history).
