Darling Darby is a delightful dream girl. She has such love for life and all those around her. She is so happy to be here. Her life up to this point may have been limited to producing puppies but now it's her turn to thrive and be carefree. She deserves to be spoiled!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She has a spring in her step. Lots to see and smell... try to keep up. No time to waist. Medium energy. She will need daily walks to use up some of her energy. She enjoys being in nature for exercise and then cuddles on the couch!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great personality. Easy going, very friendly. Not a lot of confidence but gaining ground quickly.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Looking for some TLC. Don't let her looks fool you. She is still very young. Her experiences have aged her a bit but we think she is beautiful inside and out. 57 pounds.
🟢🟡 😻Scared of cats. Needs to learn they will not be unkind to her. 🟢🐶Darby can have some bouncy energy with dogs. No negative reactivity. Potential siblings will need an interview to determine compatibility. 🟢 👨👩👦👦 Loves people. Can super interested in exploring when outside. Very loving one on one in her kennel.
Come out and meet this sweet lady today, Let's get her on you sofa where all get dreams can come true!! Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 46.8 Age: 4yrs 1mths 0wks

There is a contract and all potential adopters meet with adoption counselor to talk about application and make sure pet is good fit with the person and family. A "meet and greet" is required with all family members and the pet prior to finalizing the adoption application. More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
