My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Princess was brought in by a community member

Why she might be the one for you:
Meet Princess, a two year old pretty brown and white girl who is coming out of her shyness. She know greets staff and stands nicely while being leashed because she knows that she will be going for a walk or to the play yard and she likes both. The play yard might be her favorite because she gets to do zoomies for a few minutes and then come over to sit next to her staff person. Princess is full of love, waiting for the right person to share it with. She's always eager to learn new things, showing a curiosity that's both endearing and promising. Being a shy dog, we will have a behavioral and training consult to help you ease Princess into the transition of a new environment. Adopt Princess, and you'll not only gain a loyal friend, but also the chance to show her a world filled with love, warmth, and endless possibilities.

At SDHS:
Princess has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
