My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max Boy is a very caring and empathetic dog who aims to please his owners. He responds well to praise as well as verbal reprimanding. He loves to wrestle with his sister, Daisy Girl, and is quick to join in any time he sees someone dancing. He is very loving and affectionate with his owners and with guests in our home. He is very patient with toddlerswho test his patience daily with eye poking, tail pulling and horse riding. Max Boy is very friendly with all people/kids he encounters whether at home, on a walk or at the park. Max Boy does well walking on a leash, until he encounters another dog. Currently Max Boy does not get along well with other dogs and possesses a pack-like mentality with his sister. Because of this, his exposure to other dogs has been limited and he has not had much practice engaging with other dogs without his sister by his side. With proper training this can be addressed. Once your application is submitted and approved for the dog you are interested in, someone will call you to start the adoption process

ADOPTION FEE*: Fees vary due to costs put into them, but START at $400 for adults and $500 for puppies.

The adoption fee is for the adoption of the pet. We make sure that our animals are or will be spayed/neutered, receive the proper vaccines and are microchipped and we cover the cost for that if it's not already done before you adopt.

More about this rescue

A Wish for Animals is an all volunteer run organization trying to help as many homeless animals as possible. We work tirelessly to help these animals become adoptable and work hard to find the them the right match so that you can enjoy your pet for the rest of its' life.

During Covid we have been inundated with applications, so please be patient with us as we all work full time as well and are doing our best to care for our animals and find the right homes for them.
