My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BOOTS is a Bear-Coat Sharpei!
We don't see Bear-coats very often.

What a perfectly charming, and handsome guy with the perfect gear for Canada! He desperately needs a good home. His time is running short.

Boots is typical sharpei in character, as he is aloof and strong personality.... He is a bundle of joy. I've sat with him in the shelter for long periods of time and fed him cookies and he is just a lover. He warms up quickly. He will put his paws through the cage to let me rub them and even tried to pull me in.

He had a room mate (a chow) and they got along well,,,, very well. His room mate got adopted and I believe the isolation is getting him a bit sad. I adore his little personality and

Boots will make an amazing companion for the right person, he will take a little work, as he has that 'sharpei strong personality'--someone should be made aware of that, otherwise Boots will run the show. He is protective when on the leash to whoever is holding the leash, particularly if a woman is holding the leash.

Boots' new home should be with people who have previously owned dogs and understand the nature of the Chinese Shar-Pei. Boots seems to be very good with dogs and with cats.
