Ekko transferred to us from Orange County Animal Services. He is a big, beautiful lop-eared boy weighing in at about 8 lbs. Ekko is named after the character from League of Legends, and like his namesake he knows how to turn on the charm! He is a friendly boy and will happily run up to humans to obtain pets and, hopefully, treats. To maintain a healthy weight and keep his waistline trim, however, bunny-safe treats should be served in moderation only, and his Oxbow Adult Rabbit Pellet serving kept to 1/4 cup a day. Fortunately, Ekko is an enthusiastic eater of Timothy hay, which he can munch on all day to keep his teeth trimmed and keep himself healthy, and he eats lots of fresh greens and herbs. He is not picky when it comes to his salad!
In addition to being a happy and friendly bun, Ekko is a bit of a goofball. He greatly enjoys throwing his stackable cups around and will often bury himself in packing paper or a blanket. He likes to play inside tunnels or wooden or cardboard castles. As with many lop-eared bunnies, his zoomies and binkies are sometimes a little awkward, but Ekko clearly values enthusiasm of execution over perfect form. Ekko is seeking a loving forever home where there will be humans to entertain and hay to be munched.
We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!
Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
