My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gala is a charming 6-year-old Pitbull Terrier mix who came into the shelter as a stray. This sweet girl is all about the love, and she shows it through her wiggly body and wagging tail. Gala has a big heart and an even bigger appetite for food and treats, making her an enthusiastic companion during snack time!

While we’re still getting to know this lovely lady, her gentle nature and affectionate demeanor make it clear that she’s ready to find her forever home. If you’re looking for a sweet and loving friend to brighten your days, come meet Gala and see if she’s the perfect fit for your family!

*This dog is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home today.

More about this shelter

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.

We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
