Sammy is a sweet and affectionate 4-year-old Labrador mix who thrives on human companionship. He's a loving, friendly, and curious dog who enjoys daily walks, belly rubs, and lounging with his people. Sammy is well-behaved and polite, greeting you with a gentle paw in the morning and settling in for long naps throughout the day. He does well with other dogs and people, though he may take a bit of time to warm up to new faces. Sammy has a playful side, but he can also be a bit of a couch potato, content to hang out by your side. While he's mostly easygoing, he does get a bit anxious being left along and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. If you're looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who loves to walk and cuddle, Sammy might be the perfect match for you!

Established in 1929, Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) offers quality adoptions, affordable spaying/neutering, vaccinations and microchipping services, pet care services and education programs to enhance the human-animal bond. HSSV operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are the first organization in the country to meet the guidelines put forth by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians for standards of care for shelter animals: We are the first model shelter.

We are also the first animal community center in the nation to receive Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
