My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Suzie came to the Animal Rescue Network in August 2024 after being abandoned by her family on the street. Suzie was supposedly found as a kitten. A family took her in, but 2 years later they decided to get rid of her and give her to a neighbor. Unfortunately, she's not the first animal to suffer this fate in the same family. Suzie was absolutely bewildered by this change. She'd never been examined by a vet since she'd been taken off the streets either. Poor Suzie... Yet she's a golden cat who adores everyone. She's very sociable and seeks contact with humans. She doesn't always like to be held, but she'll let herself be handled. It's incredible how soft she is! She seems to have food allergies, which is why she eats hypoallergenic food. She'll have to continue this diet at home. Beautiful Suzie doesn't always seem to get on well with other cats, so she'd love to find a home to call her own. Suzie is an adorable little cat who loves to play and has a sweet tooth. Suzie is an adult cat, therefore the adoption fees for her are $290. She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first 3 months following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
