My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Shrimp was found as a stray in Repentigny before being brought to the Animal Rescue Network in July 2024. She's so sweet, it's unbelievable. A real little ball of love. Shrimp has melted the hearts of all the shelter volunteers who, without exception, always stop by to give her a pat. Shrimp loves to play, is greedy and seeks human contact. She doesn't like other cats and is looking for a home of her own. Unfortunately, Shrimp needed surgery while in the shelter, as she had a mammary mass. This mass was cancerous and was removed. However, the chances of recurrence are high. Her life expectancy is therefore considerably affected. Her adoptive family will have to accept this and want to give her the best for the months or years she still has with us. She truly deserves to find the best family there is! Shrimp is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first 3 months following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
