Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Rufus is a sweet, friendly boy who is ready to find his forever home!
This handsome red and white pitty mix was found as a stray, and it’s clear he has a lot of love to give. Rufus has a cheerful personality that shines through in everything he does.
Personality: Rufus is very friendly and loves meeting new people! He’s already shown us that he seems to be housebroken, making him a great companion for any family. Rufus gets along well with other dogs, making him an excellent addition to a multi-pet household. However, he’s a bit unsure about cats, so a cat-free home might be best for him.
Training: Rufus knows basic commands like “sit” and “shake,” and he’s eager to learn more. With a little training and consistency, he’ll be a well-mannered companion in no time!
Ideal Home: We recommend Rufus for a home with kids aged 10 and up. His friendly nature makes him a great playmate, but he can be a bit boisterous, so older kids would be best equipped to handle his energy.
Ready to Meet Rufus?
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Rufus might be the perfect match for you! Come meet him today and see for yourself just how wonderful he is!
If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.
