Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Mila is a shy young kitty who hasn`t had a lot of human interaction. In the cage, she was curious about the human activities. When we open her cage door, she would go in the opposite side where we were. But after several minutes (and getting tired), we were able to eventually pet her. She seemed to enjoy the petting and was closing her eyes with appreciation and leaning into the pet. When we removed her out of the cage, it was apparently she has never been scruffed before and was very scared. Once in the meet and greet room, after panicking for several minutes, she settle down and was back to enjoying the petting and attention. Mila is looking for a very cat savvy-adopter who will take the time to build up her confidence. She would need a quiet household. She is talkative.
**WALK IN SHELTER TO ADOPT Tuesday Noon-5pm, Wednesday 12-6pm, Thursday-Sunday Noon-5pm (Closed Mondays and Holidays). All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet & greet process, please bring a hard copy of a completed adoption application found here https://animalcare.saccounty.gov/Documents/AdoptionApp_Cats.pdf and provide Animal ID numbers of the kitties you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you too!
