My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Automne arrived at the Animal Rescue Network in 2021 with her sister Avoine. In June 2021, they were adopted together and lived with their family until 2024. Their family's lifestyle changed and they could no longer look after them. So they returned to the shelter. Very upset by this change, Automne and Avoine took a long time to come to their senses. Stress turns them into escape artists! Fortunately, several months later, Automne has rediscovered his beautiful personality. He comes to meet us, seeks out cuddles and lets us caress his whole body. Yes, even his belly! He doesn't like being handled, and we know that his adoption will still cause him a lot of stress. He doesn't spend time with his sister Avoine, so we can adopt them separately. He likes treats and games that don't make too much noise. He's a very gentle cat who's looking for a calm family/home where he'll be taken care of. He cannot live with small children. However, he cohabits very well with the other cats at the shelter. Automne eats special urinary food and needs to continue this diet. Automne is an adult cat therefore the adoption fees for him are $290. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He is not tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) or for feline leukemia (FeLV) but his sister Avoine is negative for both viruses. You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation within thr first month following adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
