My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LONG-TERM FOSTER HOME NEEDED:  We are looking for a special foster home for siblings Joey and Phoebe, who are semi-feral and extremely shy with strangers. They need a long-term placement with an experienced cat person who will help them come out of their shells and learn to trust people again. Initially, Joey and Phoebe will need to be confined to one room, such as a spare bedroom or den, where they can adjust slowly and become accustomed to their new humans. They must be “only cats,” and would do best in a quiet, adults-only home.

Joey and Phoebe were born on 4/15/2023. Joey is a brown tabby cat with white front paws and white "socks" on his rear legs. Phoebe is mostly black, with white markings, white paws, and extra-long whiskers! They have both been fixed and will be up to date on their vaccinations prior to placement in the foster home.

For more information about fostering Joey and Phoebe, please contact Deborah at 510-909-4961 (text preferred) or at angusnfriends@outlook.com.

More about this rescue

Angus & Friends is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit in California. Angus was an approximately 15 y.o. orange tabby found on death's door by people who lived in his neighborhood who assumed he had a home. He didn't, but probably did at one time, because he turned out to be friendly, though very sick. We tried to save him, but he ultimately had to be put down because he was not recovering after a blood transfusion due to flea anemia. Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and kittens as possible to get off the mean streets and find a furrever home.
