Hi there! I'm Margo, a sweet little panther (with a little brownie mouth) who's ready to find my forever family! My story started outside, where I lived as a little wild kitty. One day, I was trapped as part of a TNR program, but I had other plans-I won over my foster mom with my charm and cuteness, and now I'm here to stay indoors for good!

I'm a playful, cuddly kitten who loves to be close and am excited to see you. Oh, and guess what? I'm famous for my adorable little habit: sometimes my tongue just sticks out! My foster mom says it's one of my cutest quirks, and she always smiles when she sees it.

If you're looking for a sweet, gentle friend who's full of love (and a little bit of silliness), I might just be the perfect match!

Adopt-A-Pet Events in the Kansas City Area

Cat adoptions are held at the PetSmart at 115th and Metcalf in Overland Park KS every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00. Cats available for adoption every day at PetSmart in-store cage area.

Dog adoptions are held at the PetSmart in Olathe KS at 119th and Strang Line, every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00.

Dog adoptions are held at the PetSmart in Lee's Summit MO at 920 NE Sam Walton Lane, also every Saturday from 12:00 and 3:00.

The Heart of America Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to place shelter and foster animals into permanent homes in and around the greater Kansas City metro area.

Our goal is to save and improve the lives of Kansas City's homeless companion animals by promoting responsible pet ownership. The Heart of America Humane Society (HAHS) partners with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter (Lee's Summit MO) and KCK Animal Services (Kansas City KS) to increase pet adoptions into responsible, permanent homes.

Background
Our organization does not have a permanent facility or paid staff, so many of our adoptions take place at PetSmart stores and occasionally through other event venues. Some events raise awareness and bring in donations for our animal support efforts, while others help acknowledge and show appreciation for our own volunteers (who perform all duties outside of their regular jobs).
