Hi, there! My name is Macy Gray, and I was relinquished to APA in October 2024 because my first adopter could no longer care for me along with her other sick/senior dog. She adopted me from the ASCMV in 2023. She took really good care of me, and you will get a full copy of all my medical records when you adopt me.
I am a sweet, lovable gal. I got a little hefty, but APA is helping me lose weight and get a bit more in shape. I love everyone I meet--including other dogs. I think I even like cats, but we'll have to test that to be sure. :)
I am ready for find my furrever home. I will fit in great with most families. In the meantime, I am enjoying hanging out with all my APA friends.

We conduct all of our adoptions in person at our adoption center at 537 N. Solano Dr. We are open Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sat 11 to 3 or by appointment if you can't make it those days/times.

More about this shelter

We are a progressive animal welfare group in Dona Ana County. We run an adoption center, the local pet food bank, a prison dog training program, and a thrift store. We rescue most of our animals from the municipal shelter and then ready them for adoption.
