My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ceres here! My affectionate nature and energetic spirit will never fail to put a smile on your face. I am a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin. I love my human friends, but I am not a fan of the other felines and would prefer to be the only cat in the home. Whether it's snoozing on the couch while you watch TV or playing with toys together, I promise to always be by your side.

If you are interested in meeting me, please call the people at the shelter at 302-759-2260.

I am approximately 2-3 years old. My adoption fee is $125, plus tax.

Included in my adoption fee is:

Feline Leukemia/FIV/Heartworm Test
Feline Distemper 3-way Combo

More about this shelter

The Lakes Area Humane Society (LAHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which was formed in 1989 by a group of concerned citizens. These citizens wished to make a difference for the animals in our community and opened their homes to foster stray and unwanted animals. To help define their purpose, these dedicated people created the following mission statement; “The mission of the Lakes Area Humane Society is to promote responsible care and training for household pets through education and public awareness, and when appropriate, to provide a safe and sheltering haven for lost and abandoned animals pending placement in suitable permanent homes.”

The Lakes Area Humane Society provides many valuable services to our community. Some of our services include:

Ø impounding strays,
Ø assisting local law enforcement in abuse/neglect investigations,
Ø educating the public on spay/neuter programs to help reduce the number of unwanted pets,
Ø teaching the importance of appropriate pet care and training,
Ø providing shelter for animals whose owners are no longer able to care for them,
Ø reuniting lost pets with their owners, and
Ø facilitating adoptions of homeless animals to pet owners seeking life-long companions.
