My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty is estimated to be a two year old cattle dog mix who weighs in at about 50lb.He loves being outside hanging out alone or playing with friends, chasing his ball, chewing on his toys, or laying in the sun. He does well in his kennel and will bark when you come home but settles quickly. He shares toys well and loves playing with other dogs. He has a lot of energy to burn. He does well on walks and is working on not pulling or chewing on his leash. He jumps when excited and is a bit mouthy at times, but is working on handling that. His family will need to be dedicated to continued training. He loves giving hugs and kisses and cuddles, and he can't wait to smother you with his love. Hurry up and apply!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We find loving, responsible, committed permanent homes. An in-depth adoption process is used. This includes taking considerable care in finding perfect matches and educating potential adopters about the responsibilities of bringing a dog, especially that particular dog, into their life. Applications may take several days to process and you may not hear from a UU Board member for up to a few weeks at most.

More about this rescue

Unforgettable Underdogs Dog Rescue is a volunteer run non-profit and no-kill dog rescue serving Northeast Wisconsin. We are dedicated to rescuing the underdogs, those who have found themselves homeless. We strive to help dogs in public high-kill shelters, abandoned or dogs being abused or neglected.

Dogs we care for are spayed or neutered, treated for any medical needs they have, and placed into loving foster homes until they find their permanent home. We aim to help dogs in need without discriminating against age or breed as space in foster homes permit. As our finances allow, we aim to take on the most underdog of the cases and help dogs in the most need.
