My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

True love is calling, and his name is Cupid! This handsome young guy came to us as a stray before the hurricane and is looking for a home of his own. He loves to strut his stuff and treats every sidewalk like his own personal runway. Cupid is a fan of long walks in the sunset, taste-testing our snacks, and studying new tricks. He's already picked up "Sit" and is working on "Down," and he'd love to learn some more! Cupid is open to having dog roommates but would also be perfectly content as your one-and-only. His adoption fee is $35 and includes being neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines.

Cupid is currently at the Adoption Center, so you can meet him as a walk-in at 14 Forever Friend Lane from Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00-4:00! For more information before you visit, leave a voicemail at 828-761-2001 ext. 300 or email adoptions@ashevillehumane.org.

More about this shelter

Asheville Humane Society is about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety net since 1984, we are always here to save and protect every animal. We have mastered the art of saving lives within our walls and now we are going even further, helping our community’s pets and their people thrive together. We are going beyond a no-kill community to ensure that each animal has the quality of life they deserve – a life worth living.
