Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lab for Life volunteers experience the highs and lows of rescuing on a daily basis and the mission to save FRECKLES and his siblings was no different.
Volunteers were on a mission to save a momma and her 3 puppies on the side of a busy highway. After several hours of trying to assure the pups that they were OK, volunteers were able to get the pups, but their momma was hit and killed by a driver who was speeding in front of volunteers and the babies.
FRECKLES is so grateful to his momma and the volunteers for making sure he and his siblings had a chance. He was scared, hungry and covered in fleas and ticks. After several weeks of serious TLC, FRECKLES has really come into his own and is looking for a family of his own. FRECKLES is a playful, inquisitive and loving guy who absolutely loves kiddos and other dogs. He can be a bit timid as first, but if you're offering snuggles and cookies, he will come out of his shell quickly. He would love to have a home of his own and a family to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, could that be you?

Most of our Meets are done virtually due to Covid as well as successful adopters are often geographically distanced. Fosters and potential adopters arrange "Facetime" meetings.

More about this rescue
A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.
ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
