Hello there, I’m Iris. I may have had a rough start, but I’m full of hope that things are about to get a whole lot better. I came to FDHS as a stray with some pretty sore hips, and after a trip to the vet, we found out I had likely been hit by a car. Luckily, I’m scheduled for surgery, and once that’s behind me, I’ll be on my way to healing and feeling like myself again.

I’d love nothing more than to recover in a cozy, quiet home where I can rest up and share some gentle snuggles. I’m a sweet, calm girl with a gentle heart, and I know I’ll make a wonderful friend for the right person. If you’re looking for a sweet soul to welcome into your life, I’d love to be your girl.

Once an application is filled out for animal of interest, the adoption coordinator and director will review app.
*Vet reference- will call vet and verify you are a client
*Current pets- must be up to date on vaccinations
*If renting- will contact landlord to verify can have pets
Can take 1-3 days for approval or denial. Please be patient with us.
Animals are not first come, first serve. We work to find the best homes possible for not only the adopters, but our animals.
