Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Waldo was adopted as a tiny feral kitten in 2014. He is now 10 years old and after many big life changes in recent years (a few cross-country moves, a new live-in partner, a dog...) he is not doing well in our home. He is still playful and SO, so loving - the little guy LOVES attention and cuddles - but he has been spraying outside of his litter box and getting aggressive (stalking, biting, scratching and leaving marks). My partner and I plan to start a family soon and we just can't risk having a baby around a cat who has shown unprompted aggression.
We have tried Feliway, different litter/litter box, more enrichment/attention, different food, and received a 100% clean bill of health from his vet, but he is still not improving. My belief is that Waldo needs to be an "only child" in a steady, stable home where he gets lots of attention and affection. I truly believe he is just not happy here, and with the right home, he will be himself again.
