Love comes in many shapes and sizes, and one of our favorite love stories is that of BB King and John Cece. These adorable 1-year-old boys originally came to EASEL last fall as part of a hoarding case involving 45 cats in total. We aren’t sure whether BB and John are brothers, cousins, or just best friends. However, we knew from the start that they had a special bond, since they arrived snuggled up together in the same Have-a-Heart trap! Initially BB and John were scared and confused in the shelter environment and huddled together in the back of the kennel trying to hide. But after a few weeks, as they became more comfortable, we got to know their true personalities. BB King is a curious and playful guy who likes to hang out at the front of the cage and check out everything going on. John Cece is a bit more mellow and loves to give headbutts. Both boys love to be petted and made a fuss over and then, when they’re worn out, cuddle up for a catnap together. BB and John grew up around other cats and are both quite cat-friendly. In addition, they have met dogs and appear to be unfazed by canine friends. These sweethearts complement each others’ personalities extremely well and would be a wonderful fit in pretty much any home. If you think you can open your heart to BB King and John Cece, please apply today online or in person. Adoption by appointment only with an approved adoption application. Please go to www.easelnj.org/adopt to submit an adoption application. Someone will be in touch within 48 hours.
