My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Very friendly and affectionate, loves human attention, great companion cat

Sweet, playful, and affectionate, Charlie was found with a colony of feral cats outside a warehouse, but it was obvious that he didn’t belong there — and that he didn’t have the street smarts to keep himself safe. He’s super friendly, and clearly has lived with people; his rescuer believes he was abandoned or went missing from his home. He would love to have a family and a cozy place to live again. This laid-back guy gets along with everybody, including other cats. The vet thinks he’s about a year and a half old, but he’s a kitten at heart. He loves cuddling with people, making biscuits, and purring. When he has something to say, he communicates with gentle chirping meows. He loves play time, especially chasing after string toys, but he’s equally content to curl up for a long nap on the couch. He’ll bring drama-free fun to your life and be a loyal companion for the whole family. If you are looking for a very social cat that adores human attention, Charlie is your boy. More about this rescue

Adoptable Cats Houston is a non-profit organization committed to finding permanent homes for cats and kittens. Our cats were homeless strays or abandoned cats that were living in a colony that we manage. They live in foster homes where they are nurtured and receive the medical care they need. Our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being adopted into responsible, stable, loving forever homes.

We are a team of cat lovers that volunteer to make a difference to the stray cats that cross our path.
