From her current foster:

10+y old spayed female hound mix in Northern Neck, VA (1.5 hrs. South from Fredericksburg and/or North from Petersburg)

~No current vaccines, heartworm - , and on heartworm & f/t preventatives

~From her current foster: I pulled Ruby from a rural shelter in hopes to find her a long-term home. I did not want her to live her life in a kennel. Because my family and I are approximately 2 hours away from our vet, we are unable to provide necessary vetting for Ruby. In addition, my husband did not agree to take her long-term, so I must find her a home as soon as possible. If not, I’ll be forced to take her back to the shelter.

~Pros: walks well on a leash, housebroken (whines to go out), crate trained (LOVES her crate inside and outside)

~Cons: indifferent to people and other animals (may not be considered a con), mostly deaf (responds to clapping), difficulty eating kibble (on can food)

~Ideal home: a place where she can relax inside and wander around outside throughout the day.
