My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Elena is in a foster home. ***

Gray tabby, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 6/18/21, #19226

Cats: needs a companion
Dogs: curious about
Children: respectful kids ok

BACKGROUND: Elena was found as a young teen on the streets with a broken leg. Her rescuer got her the orthopedic surgery she needed and she healed marvelously well: you wouldn’t know that she was ever hurt! Later, needing help with the adoption side of rescue, Elena’s benefactor reached out to The Rescue House to ask if we could help find her a loving home.

PERSONALITY: Elena is a very curious and intelligent kitty! Her leg is as good as new and she walks, runs, jumps, and plays without concern. She loves feather wands, little soccer balls, and the Cat Catcher wire mouse wand is always a big hit. Elena lets you carry her around and enjoys attention… of course she likes it even more if you break out a tasty Churu treat… YUM! She’s an active girl who has recently been experimenting with opening the level-style door handles in her foster home; she’ll likely figure that out soon, clever kitty that she is.

COMPATIBILITY: Elena greatly enjoys having other cats around to play with, and she must have a feline companion who is willing to be regularly groomed and kept clean (Elena is diligent about that). She is curious about dogs and might do well with a calm dog that is good with cats. She would likely be fine with respectful children.

Elena is ready to bring her sense of fun to her forever people… will she make you smile?
