My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bandit!

This little extra-toed guy came to TCR when one of TCR's fosters saved him and his 3 siblings from deplorable living conditions. The morning our foster was going to pick them up, their mom was let outside and unfortunately was hit by a car. Bandit and his siblings were barely old enough to eat on their own, thin, sick, and covered in fleas. With some TLC, we were able to nurse them back to health. Eventually, Bandit's little gang joined momma Angela and her 5 babies and they grew into one large, chaotic, happy family!

Bandit is sweet, outgoing, and loves to give you little meows for attention! He loves loves loves:
-attention (lap time, petting, playing.... anything!)
-cardboard houses... they're great to nap in and to nom on!
-any toy or anything the resembles a toy
-chaos and wreaking havoc while wrestling with his siblings

This guy would do great in a variety of homes. He absolutely needs a young, active, and playful cat buddy (perhaps when one of his many siblings!) Bandit would do well with children of all ages, but he is still young so he will need regular nail trimmings (especially those extra front toes!) and still plays with hands in a playful way. He has not met dogs yet, but we do believe that with proper introductions he would get along great with a dog friend!

Bandit is about 4 months old, neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FELV tested negative, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. If this sweet polydactyl guy sounds like a match for you, apply for him today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
