My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 10 years
Weight: 6.2 / 13.7lbs

Sylvi is an older lady looking for a new home! We don`t know too much about her past, but so far we know she is friendly, likes to climb high, and she can be a bit... discerning in her choices of feline companions! In shelter, Sylvi has shown some discomfort when seeing other cats in shelter, although she may do well with slow, positive intros to the right cat. We are still learning more about this beautiful tuxedo lady - if you`d like to learn with us, come visit her today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
