Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ripley was rescued with 15 puppies from a California shelter all set to be euthanized the day we rescued them.
Up-to-date on shots: Rabies, licensed, DHPP-BORD, Dewormed, Microchipped. Neuter is scheduled.
Ripley is a favorite around here! He is so so SO sweet, and is just a happy puppy who wants love and affection. He will be a great puppy to train, he is already sitting for pets. He loves to play with his siblings, and follows us around to hang out. He is relaxed and did I mention so sweet? We think he will be one of the first puppies adopted because he is so good. He is sweet with children. He will need someone to show him leash walking since he hasn't had a lot of that and exposure to the outside world.
He would be fine in a multi-dog household, as long as proper introductions are given, which will be done during the adoption process. We recommend all of our dogs be trained, by the adopter and/or professionally, especially as puppies. Training makes everyone's life easier and more enjoyable, giving you a companion that is well behaved, safe, and mentally enriched. All adopters will receive a 50% discount at The Good Dog Yorktown for a 6-week training session.

Backstory: We saw a post on Facebook from Angels for Animals spreading awareness that these 16 dogs were in an urgent situation, scheduled for euthanasia. They were dumped from a breeder at OC Animal Shelter with two testing positive for parvo. Since they all came in together, they were considered parvo exposed, meaning they did not have it, were not showing any signs of it, just merely exposed. We couldn't let them all die for a treatable disease, so with the help of Animal Assistance League of Orange County, The Fix Project, 4 Paws Transport Inc., SoCal Happy Tails Transport, and a great volunteer communicator, we were able to get them out, and transport them here to Rox & Ro Animal Rescue in Virginia where we will find their forever homes!
