My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Disclaimer: This animal is not in Anderson custody. and is a courtesy post to help a member of the community rehome directly without shelter intervention. Any adoption inquiries should be directed to the owner at tlittelljr@gmail.com and/or (630) 724-7985. Anderson Humane makes no guarantees regarding medical or behavioral status of this animal, and the current owner is solely responsible for disclosing any challenges or concerns.

He is a lab retriever/terrier mix who is about 5 months old. I'd say that his number one personality trait is being social. He is so full of energy and joy at all moments of the day. He loves going on long walks and meeting new people. He is very curious about the world so he loves sniffing around to explore new places and things. He is very excited and happy to meet new people and loves spending time to get to know them. Michael is also very well behaved both indoors and out. He rarely ever barks or growls at anyone or thing and loves giving kisses to everyone he meets. He loves playing fetch with some of his favorite toys like frisbees, tennis balls and kong toys. Michael is very intelligent as well. He knows where his food is stashed so when we approach the area he knows that it is time for him to eat. He also knows which door he needs to go in order to be taken outside of the house and how to let us know he needs to go outside to go to the bathroom (i.e., he will bring us one of our shoes to let us know he needs to go outside.) Michael is also a very quick learner. For example, as mentioned with bringing us our shoes, he also learned how to sit very quickly and how to come to us when we indicate so. He does very well in his crate throughout the night and is a heavy sleeper. Some of his favorite treats include Head-to-Tail dental sticks, pure being chewy dog treats, Nylabone natural nubz and ice cubes. He is currently up to date on all of his shots and has recently seen the vet for his checkup. If adopted, he comes with a big supply of his favorite foods, treats, and toys!

Overall, Michael is a really well behaved, quick learning, energetic and happy dog who loves meeting new people and exploring new things. I have had nothing but positive experiences with him and hope he really finds a family that loves him so much. Michael is such a sweet and loving boy. I hope to find another loving home for him soon so that he can live the best life he possibly can and also enjoy the holidays with his new family.
