Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Name: Simon
Breed: Pitbull mix
Age: 9 months
Weight: 55lbs.
Before OMD: We were contacted by one of our vet partners after he was dropped off there and was diagnosed with parvo. We quickly got him transferred to an ER where he stayed until he was well enough to enter a foster home.
Key descriptors: Smart. Comical. Goofy. Sweet.
Energy level: Puppy high – play hard, crash harder. Repeat. PS it will probably remain on the higher end as he grows up.
Pittie smotherness level: Very well-balanced. A great cuddler, but also content to not be on top of you all hours of the day. IYKYK.
What makes us laugh: His ability to both fall asleep and wake up without a moment’s notice. How he loves to sit in the window like a cat and watch the world go by.
What we love: Watching his sheer joy when palling around with his canine foster siblings. How he greets you when you get home with the biggest, happiest smile.
What he loves: Toys. Antlers. Car rides. Walks. “Toys” that are not actually his or toys. Treats. Dogs. People.
Stranger danger? Nope. He loves people and not to brag or anything but he’s getting pretty good at keeping four on the floor while he’s sniffing you and saying hello.
What he knows: Sit. Paw.
What he’s working on: Leash manners. Just a little less mouthing when he gets really amped up. BTW – he loves to learn so he would probably thrive in some structured training classes.
Dogs: Yes, please! He loves them and has totally thrived with a foster sibling.
Cats: Unknown.
Kids: 10+ please!
House-trained: Yes!
Crate-trained: Also, yes!
If he could pick out his ideal family: A family with lots of love and time to give with some kids to play and cuddle with. A dog friend so he can have a BFF. A fenced in yard so he can run around like a wild man.
Simon is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you’re interested in adopting, please complete an application from our website.
