My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there!

They call me Quest because I'm on a long search for a new family!!!

You see, I was presumed dumped. (I know, how could anyone dump someone as cute as me).
Anywho, the local PD picked me up and tried to find my owners. NO ONE showed. How rude and uncaring!!

Next thing I knew I was going to be sent over the rainbow bridge! NOOOOOO! Luckily, those PD peeps know all about Lucies Project. They scooped me up and fixed up a temporary home for me to stay. YAY!!! And you know what else, I get to see new folks on Wednesday through Sunday when they come to shop at the flea market that supports the rescue.

Everyone loves me cuz I'm soooo cute ;)

I'm a bit shy at times and will run in my little house, but I warm up real quick once I'm in someone's arms :)

So, what are you waiting for??? Come and adopt me!!!

*** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters contact our adoption volunteer either via email or phone. Our volunteer in turn talks to them more about the pet they are interested in. If the adopter seems like a good match, they are requested to complete an application. They come to the rescue location to meet the dog of interest. We also sometimes arrange a home visit to make sure the environment is suitable for the dog. If all is well, they will get a call from a volunteer letting them know they are approved for adoption. They will be provided copies of the vaccination and sterilization records. A delivery day will be arranged for the dog. Either the adopter may come and pick up the dog, or a volunteer can arrange to have the dog delivered. They sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We do periodically contact our adopters to check up on the dog to make sure everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying their new life!

More about this rescue

Local Unity for Canines In Emergency Situations. We are a dog rescue organization, not a shelter or a pound!

We are a group of neighbors who, as a community effort, are helping the many strays and dumped dogs in the area. We take them in, care for them, feed - vaccinate - worm - socialize, and try to find them forever homes. We do depend on donations to help out, and will accept food, medication, bedding, fostering, and direct donations to Veterinarians.
